SHRINKING WORSTEDS AND WOOLLENS
Shrinking consists essentially in allowing the wool to dry slowly without strain of any kind, and to retain the normal amount of moisture. The old method of London shrinking was to fold the cloth in layers between damped wrappers, leaving it for a certain number of days.
